HoneyColoring is committed to making our website accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We believe that free coloring pages should be available to all users regardless of how they access the web.
Our Commitment
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities, including those with visual, auditory, motor, and cognitive impairments.
What We’ve Done
We have taken the following steps to improve accessibility on HoneyColoring:
- Alt text — all coloring page images include descriptive alt text
- Keyboard navigation — the site can be navigated using a keyboard without a mouse
- Color contrast — we aim for sufficient contrast between text and background colors
- Readable fonts — we use clear, legible font sizes and styles
- Responsive design — the site works on mobile, tablet, and desktop devices
- Descriptive links — links use descriptive text rather than generic “click here” labels
- Page structure — pages use proper heading hierarchy (H1, H2, H3) for screen readers
Coloring Pages
Our coloring pages are provided as printable image files (PDF). While the pages themselves are visual by nature, each page includes:
- A descriptive title
- Alt text describing the illustration
- A text description of the coloring page subject
Known Limitations
While we strive for full accessibility, some areas may not yet meet all guidelines:
- Some older coloring page images may have limited alt text detail
- Third-party advertising content may not fully meet our accessibility standards
- Some embedded content from external platforms may have their own limitations
We are actively working to address these issues.
Assistive Technology
HoneyColoring is designed to be compatible with common assistive technologies including:
- Screen readers (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver)
- Browser zoom up to 200%
- Keyboard-only navigation
